Bad news to the fans of Beersgiving. This a portion of the e-mail that Big Dan got last night.

We had a board meeting this afternoon, and have decided that it is in the best interest of SunnyBrook to cancel this event."

What this means is very simple. If you have bought a ticket from us, please bring it back and we will refund your money. Do not take it anywhere else.

For anymore info, go to the Beersgiving website. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

The legend behind Brugse Zot...

To welcome Maximilian of Austria to their proud town, the people of Bruges organised a colourful parade of merrymakers and fools. When they asked him at the end of the day to provide money for a new madhouse he replied : ‘Today I have seen nothing but fools. Bruges is already one large madhouse !’ Since then the people of Bruges are called ‘Brugse Zotten’ (fools of Bruges).

Sometimes the people of Craft Ale House (especially on a Thursday night) are known as ... let's just leave that up to your own interpretation.

*** The firkin of Troegs Scratch Ipa has been moved to 8-18-11.

She Was Lost, But Now We Founder

As the resident cooler monster here, I know first hand what evil liquid lurks here at the CAH. Now,  I have been swore at secretly or maybe it was sworn to secrecy, it's hard to tell some days, but at the very least I can tell you this. On March 30, with the wonderful Bernie from Stockertown Beverages close by, it very well might be the most insane disply of Founders that this area has seen it quite some time. And, if all you CAH folks behave yourself, we might even tell you what we're going to pour before that day. Tweet quitely among yourselves.

The Legend Of Limerick Hallows

A few hundred years ago, back when the only roads were made of dirt and stone and area was nothing more than a pit stop on the way to Reading or Philadelphia, the people passing through would hear bizarre tales. A tale about a strange creature who rose up from the ground on February 2 to forecast things to come. Most people laughed and said it was just a groundhog, but other people who saw the creature say otherwise. The locals got to be so scared of it, that rumour has it, they took after it with pitchforks and fire. Most people say now, that whatever it was, is now long gone. But the old timers in the area say there is still a couple of them around. And they say matter of factually, that one lives close to the Craft Ale House. One old timer says he might even have a video of this creature tucked away somewhere in his attic. I must go looking for this. I must find out the truth in this matter. Is it something to be afraid of? Or is something to look forward to? Stay tuned boys and girls, it's going to get interesting around here.
