Rolling Down The Russian River
Left a good job in the city, working for the man every night and day.
I always thought about leaving, when Russian River gets poured on that Wednesday.
And what day is that? August 18th boys and girls. Here be the lineup for Rolling Down the Russian River.
Who knows what else might be flowing down the river that day?
Registration Ale
Blind Pig IPA
Consecration

1972 Reasons To Say Thanks!
Reason number 1 is for all our customers who came out last Monday to support Habitat for Humanity. The second reason is we helped raised 1972 smackeroos between us and the Beer Yard for this worthy cause. Much thanks goes to our guest bartender that night, Mr. Matt Guyer and to all of you who braved the crazy parking situation that night.
On the beer side of things, Troegs is now three for three in the firkin kicking category. What other brewer will take them on in this endeavor?
Last but not least, it is now the dog days of August but that doesn't mean we won't pull off a few surprises. Stay tuned here and on Facebook for all the details!

CHRISTMAS GIVING IN JULY
We are excited to announce our first fundraiser event: Christmas in July for Habitat for Humanity. Have you been naughty so far this year? If so, here’s your chance to be nice! Come out and join us to help raise money for a great cause. Guest bartender and Habitat supporter, Matt Guyer from The Beer Yard in Wayne, PA, will be pouring beer on Monday, July 26 from 6-9 PM, including a special line up of Holiday brews on draft. Among the special treats will be a keg of ExPorter, the beer that Matt and 11 other Philadelphia beer folks brewed at Sierra Nevada Beer Camp. While there may be no snow or mistletoe, we will still be in the spirit of Holiday gift-giving. The Beer Yard and Craft Ale House will together donate a total of 30% of sales for the entire day to Habitat to Humanity for those who come out to support our cause and write “habitat” on their check or credit card receipt.

Gary Fry from Craft Ale House states “we are very excited to help raise money for an organization that contributes to so many people and has done work here in the greater Pottstown area. Since we purchase some of our beer from Matt, and he supports us on a regular basis, we are pleased to combine our efforts in support of Habitat when he gets to be part of our staff for at least one night.” Gary and Melissa Fry opened Craft Ale House in December 2008. It quickly became a destination spot for drinking and dining in the western suburbs and has received rave reviews from the beer press and other local media.
“It’s a great cause and well worth anything we can contribute to making it stronger,” said Guyer. “Besides, it will be great fun.” His store, The Beer Yard, is a Main Line institution and is generally considered one of the best retail outlets for American craft and specialty import beers in the Philadelphia area. It has been honored several times with various “Best of” awards by local publications.
Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 in Americus, Georgia, by Millard and Linda Fuller, where its international operation headquarters remain, with administrative headquarters located in Atlanta. Staff members at all locations serve to support and promote the activities of local, independent Habitat for Humanity groups, which initiate and manage construction, mortgages and homeowner selection worldwide. In 1996, U.S. President Bill Clinton awarded Fuller the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, calling Habitat for Humanity "the most successful continuous community service project in the history of the United States." More information can be found on its website: http://www.habitat.org/
The Beer Yard is located at 218 East Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087 (behind Starbucks) and is open Monday through Thursday from 10am to10pm, Friday and Saturday from 10qm to-11pm and Sunday Noon to 5pm.
